Hello!

I’m Laura Coen

Growing up I wanted to be a lawyer. I enjoyed school, reading, and research projects. While pursuing an accounting degree in college I participated in the VITA (volunteer income tax assistance) program and discovered my love of taxes. Taxes combines my interests of law, research, and helping others. I enjoy staying up to date on the latest tax laws and finding tax savings opportunities for my clients.

I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, with a minor in French, from Seattle University, and have been a licensed CPA since 2006. After 15 years of experience in local tax firms, I founded LC Tax Services to offer expert-level CPA services with the personalized attention my clients deserve. I’m also proud to serve as the Vice President of the Washington Chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals.

I reside in the scenic Pacific Northwest with my husband, Jason, and daughter, Avery, where I enjoy the mild weather, mossy forests, and abundant coffee shops that make this area special. When I’m not working, you can find me immersed in a good book snuggled up with our cats, Katniss and Primrose, savoring quality chocolate.
